Advice on increasing height

Hi! I am 22 n having the height of 169 cms.I just wanted to ask is there any possibility for me to increase my height at this age and what should I do in order to do that?

How to Increase Height

Height like weight is a major issue affecting most of us. While directing your height isn’t as easy as influencing weight, it can be done. If you want to know how to increase height, the best way is by following a regimen of set exercises to increase height. This set needs to comprise of exercises that workout and stretch the body’s core muscles and improve body posture; both these actions have a direct impact on height and height gain. These exercises also influence the body’s hormonal function.


They are designed to stimulate and boost the growth hormone released in the blood stream.

There are two primary approaches to exercise to increase height: stretching exercises to increase height and high intensity workouts that boost growth spurts.

• Yoga – Learning yoga is an excellent way to stretch the muscles. Yoga postures and breathing exercises are designed to stretch and strengthen the body’s core muscles. In addition yoga postures also improve body posture. This translates into height gain. Some effective postures for height increase include the Wheel Pose, Downward-Facing Dog Pose, and Locust Pose. Cycles of sun salutations are also just as effective.
• The Horizontal Bar – A simple way to increase height is to use a horizontal bar. Hanging from a horizontal bar helps decompresses and elongate the spine and joints in the body. If practiced regularly it is said to add an inch or two to height.
High intensity exercises to increase height – High intensity exercises have a greater chance of influencing height and growth spurts. High intensity exercises include cycling, aerobics, swimming, running, and so on. 
• Swimming – Swimming is the perfect activity to adopt when aiming for height gain. This is an activity that impacts the entire body. It stretches every muscle. It also helps elongate the spine and has a positive impact on posture, impacting height. Try to swim for an hour two to three times a week.
• Basketball – If you find it hard to stick to a gym routine, try something more competitive or fun like a game of basketball. The game is such that the body gets stretched out completely. It is a great way to add an inch or two.

Tips to Increase Height

How tall you grow is greatly determined on genes, heredity, effects of certain hormones, exercise, how long your bones grow and your diet. Different individuals stop growing at different age; some might stop in their mid teens while some might continue growing in their early twenties.  You are nearly 5'7'' tall, try the following tips which will help you stretch and look few inch taller –

  • Limb stretch – stand side ways against a wall and stretch one hand at a time against the wall. While stretching the hand also raise your heels simultaneously as high as possible. Stay in this position for 15 seconds and repeat for 20-25 times. Do this regularly for best results.
  • Correct your posture while walking or standing; stand erect and don't slouch as this will make your appearance short.
  • Pull ups – fix a strong metal bar at doorway of a room in your house, now pull yourself up from the floor and hang in for 15-20 seconds. Gradually as you get used to it you can increase the duration of holding on the bar.
  • Have a balanced meal include lots of fresh fruits and vegetables, for proteins eat milk and milk products, fish, and sprouts and avoid fatty meals altogether.

Heighted people look great if they carry themselves well, have great self confidence and greater self esteem, but you can have the same things with your 169 cms height which is not bad at all.
