Starting off with exercises is the one of the best methods to control superfluous weight. Based on your height and weight, your Body Mass Index (BMI) is 29.3 which is bordering on the obese. In order to understand the reason of rapid weight fluctuation since last year, you will need to check on a few details.

Since you claim to have been 68 kgs last year and have added up 12 kgs this year to reach to 80 kgs, you will need to check for underactive thyroid abnormality. Please check your thyroid functionalities and if this has been ruled out then you will need to take extra measures in identifying the right foods, the number of portions and the amount of calories you are consuming.

An underactive thyroid abnormality or hypothyroidism can cause rapid weight gain amongst many of its varied symptoms. In case you are diagnosed with hypothyroidism, you will need to consult an endocrinologist to determine the right course of treatment in addition to diet and exercise.

However if poor eating habits are to be blamed, then a closer look at your daily diet would throw some clues. Keep off from high saturated fats and sugary products. Plenty of liquids throughout the day will complement the diet and exercise in your bid to lose weight.

Read useful information on BMI and bmi chart. Body Mass Index (BMI) Chart is typically used by professionals to give you a quick indication of your body weight status.
