Carrots, strawberries, tangerines, cauliflower, broccoli, brussels sprouts, spinach, parsley and asparagus are some of them. Veggies and fruits have a high complex carbohydrate content that contributes to satiety. Nuts and dried fruits are energy dense. Certain foods that contribute to less than 5 grams of carbohydrate or 20 calories are termed as free foods. Condiments and seasonings, such as lemon juice, vinegar, horse radish, mustard, pimento, spices, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, pimento and flavored extracts are some of them. Unsweetened tea, broth, water, consommé, bouillon, tonic water and club soda are some of the beverages that are free foods.

Crash diets result in drastic weight loss, though might not sustain for a long time. A healthy lifestyle with regular exercise and a healthy diet is the secret behind overall well being. There is no shortcut to good health!
