Detox Diet Plan

Whether you choose to indulge at a high-end spa or prefer an ‘at home’ version, a detox diet plan helps you cleanse your body from the inside out. The aim of any detox diet plan is to ensure that you consume natural foods and beverages for a certain period. This, in turn, will guarantee a complete cleansing of your digestive organs such as your stomach, kidney, liver and colon. Naturally, a detox diet plan dictates that you avoid all alcoholic beverages, processed foods, fried or unhealthy ingredients, and so on.

A detox diet plan may focus on weight loss.
In such cases, the detox diet plan may recommend various phases in which to avoid or consume certain foods. To achieve successful weight loss, you will have to follow every step of the challenging detox diet plan. In some cases, a liver detox diet plan may be undertaken to flush out toxins from the digestive system. One such diet called the Inside-Out diet recommends a healthy diet of fruits, vegetables, poultry, egg whites, and gluten free grains. This 3 day detox diet plan is formulated to fight inflammation, boost liver function, and aid weight loss.

A word of caution before you try any detox diet plan. It is best to consult your doctor or nutritionist even if you choose to follow an easy detox diet plan. Individuals who are trying a detox diet for the first time must ensure that they are physically fit for the demands of a detox diet plan. When following a detox diet, it is best if you start with a 5 day or 7 day detox diet plan for cleansing your body or for weight loss. Dieticians also recommend avoiding long-term use of detox diet plans. Restrict your detox diet to a maximum of a 10 to 21 day detox diet plan. Some detox diets followed over a long period can leave you with symptoms such as dehydration, exhaustion, and constipation. Some detox diet plans may require you to consume additional vitamin or mineral supplements to fill the nutrient gap caused by cleansing plans. Avoid practicing a detox diet plan multiple times in a short period. The human body can naturally remove the toxic build up in our kidneys and liver through urine and stool excretion. A detox diet plan only enhances this natural process.

The best detox diet plan is to follow a healthy diet rich in fruits and vegetables, lean protein, and whole grain products. However, if you must choose a detox diet plan here are some simple detox diets that are easy to perform from the comfort of your own home.

• Add juice to your detox diet plan.  One of the most common and effective cleansing diets is the use of lemon in a detox diet plan. Hailed as a master cleanser, the lemon detox diet focuses on flushing out the toxins build up over a period. With the liver functioning optimally, individuals feel rejuvenated. The diet recipe contains very few ingredients such as lemon juice, cayenne pepper, maple syrup, and water. As with any juice detox diet plan, individuals are required to consume large quantities of water along side eight to ten glasses of lemon and maple juice. Individuals may also consume herbal and green tea to stay hydrated.
• Following a fruit detox diet plan encourages you to eat various types of fruits as well as consume fruit juices. You receive the full benefits of dietary fiber from fruits, while juices enable you to stay hydrated. A fruit detox diet plan helps immensely after the holiday season to cleanse the body of toxins from greasy food and over eating. Lean protein and protein shakes in the initial phase of the detox diet plan helps the body prepare for an intensive fruit only diet. You may experience some dizziness and/or exhaustion before you get used to the fruit detox diet plan. Diet experts usually recommend no exercise and light workloads while you are on a fruit detox diet.
• Similarly, a vegetable only detox diet plan encourages you to consume fresh vegetables in the form of salads, vegetable juices, lightly cooked vegetables, and so on to boost your immune system.
Most detox diet plans aim to cleanse the toxins from your digestive tract. A toxin free system allows for better nutrient absorption. Since the liver and kidneys produce chemicals that help to digest fat, an optimally functioning digestive system aids weight loss. Do not make weight loss your primary goal for detox diet. Instead, focus on short periods of detox to prepare your body for a daily, healthy routine of diet and exercise.
