Interesting Facts About Ageing And Anti Aging Diet

Our life passes right in front of us, and before we know it, we become old. Life is a very strange phenomenon. Every being that steps into the world has to leave one day. Normally, people who live a good, healthy, and clean life tend to enjoy the old age as well. However, the negligence and indulgences of our youth and early adulthood can cost us a lot as we begin to age.

Every day we read about people dying of different diseases and illnesses. Surely, everyone’s time has to come one day. There is no elixir of immortality. There are, however, a number of life’s invaluable lessons which can help us not only today, but also in the relatively more difficult times to come as we age. Ageing can be defined as the total combined changes in a living being that occur over the entire lifespan.

The bodies of adolescents undergo rapid anatomical changes as they grow up. The old bones replace themselves very quickly. As we age, the replacement slows down until we reach the age of 35 when the bone loss starts. This is the beginning of the end, even though we may not know it.

Looking from another point of view, our ageing process has already begun. We start off our lives with billions of neurons in the brain. Within ten years, we can lose as many as millions of these neurons. This loss affects the memory and other brain functions. The immunity of the body gradually decreases after we cross our 50’s. Moreover, stomach disorders also become more frequent. Your stomach condition is a good proof of your over-all health.

Anti Ageing Skin Care And Diet

Instead of being worried reading all this, we should realize that this is the time to live. We have to take care of ourselves, and take up all those things that we have been planning to do for years. If ageing is to come, why not welcome it with open arms? We should learn to plan for our long-term benefits. When we eat a single, unhygienic burger, we do not realize the drastic effect it will have upon our life in the long term. Small precautionary measures that we take today will prove their effect as we age.

Defenses against Ageing:

Diet and exercise are the most vital defenses anyone can have against ageing. A well-balanced diet and regular exercise not only keep us healthy, but also protect the body from various diseases. Swimming, walking, and jogging are very good ways of keeping yourself healthy and young. Many yoga Asanas also help in maintaining the body in a superb shape.

Diet for Aging:
  • Enjoy the bounty of nutritious foods which nature offers us
  • Eat plenty of fruits and vegetables. Replace your previous eating routine with a fruit/vegetable breakfast or lunch

  • Do not add too much salt and spices in your food
  • Drink a lot of water, and other fresh juices

Remember, we are what we eat. Small changes in our eating routine, supplemented with regular exercise, can help us today as well as tomorrow.
