By increasing your intake of vitamins and minerals you can improve your overall health, which also includes the health of your skin and hair. First of all, a higher mount of vitamins present in your body, will improve blood circulation to all parts of your body, including the scalp. This prevents problems like hair fall, and premature graying. However, there are specific vitamins for hair growth that should be increased in a diet. These vitamins include, Vitamin A, Vitamin B complex and especially B5 & B12, Vitamin C and Vitamin E. These vitamins can easy be consumed by including foods that are high in them. Foods that contain natural vitamins for hair growth are:

Vitamin A: Foods which are high in this vitamin are green leafy vegetables like broccoli, spinach, kale and cabbage. Vitamin A is also present in foods like eggs and liver. However, the level of Vitamin A in the body can build up quite easily and therefore this vitamin needs to be consumed in moderation.

Vitamin B complex (B5 and B12): These vitamins for hair growth can be found in fish, eggs, poultry, whole grains and milk.

Vitamin C: Most citrus fruits like oranges, pineapples, kiwis and strawberries are high in this vitamin. Vegetables like tomatoes and bell peppers are also good for hair growth.

Vitamin E: Most people tend to consume Vitamin E pills for their skin and hair. However, it is quite easy to get Vitamin E in natural ways, by eating nuts, whole grains and leafy greens.

Some of the other foods that contain vitamins for hair growth for women are raisins, wheat germ and garlic. Alternately, it is possible for people to take multivitamin tablets for healthier hair, skin and body.

Prenatal vitamins hair growth

Pregnant women are usually required to take multivitamin supplements during the course of their pregnancies. This could be one of the reasons that many pregnant women get glowing skin and shiny hair while they are pregnant. Of course most pregnant women also tend to follow a healthy diet that is high in vitamins and consume a lot of water, which improves the texture of the hair by adding moisture to it. While women who are not pregnant may not be advised to take prenatal vitamins for hair growth, they can definitely increase their consumption of vitamins, by eating natural foods that are high in all nutrients.

While most of the foods containing vitamins for hair growth are good for the overall health of most people, it is best to consult a doctor, before making any dietary changes. A doctor’s approval is more important in the case of those people who are suffering from any preexisting medical condition.
