Body Building Fruits

Can you please give some examples of body building foods. How do I lose stomach fat via intake of fruits?
(October 5, 2010)

There are lots of health conscious people who like to work on their bodies and build muscles. Different people have different preference for their bodies, and everyone has a different diet and exercise routine to achieve his/her goals. When you eat the right muscle building foods and ensure proper nutrition, you can build your muscles too.

The best muscle building foods are those that are high in proteins and carbohydrates. A typical meal for a person who wants to build muscles, includes muscle building foods that are high in carbohydrates, proteins, and fats.

To build your muscles properly, you have to eat a lot. However, if you do not match it with proper exercise routines, you will only gain weight and not muscles.

Weight and strength trainers have always claimed that foods that have high quantity of carbohydrates as well as proteins are enough to be used as muscle building foods. For the ideal bodybuilding food, simply combine two different sources of high quality proteins and carbohydrates.

Carbohydrates are filled with a nutrient known as glycogen. When you consume quality sources of carbohydrates, you get enough energy throughout the day to perform your muscle building exercises. Since these exercises can be very stressful, carbohydrates and fats are important to give more energy to the body so that it can take the stress of exercising.

Throughout the day, you can consume complex carbohydrates that release energy slowly. However, around the time you workout, you can consume simple carbohydrates that give you energy that is immediately usable. Restrict fruit juices, energy drinks, nuts, and other sources of simple carbohydrates to the periods when you exercise.

Some of the best complex carbohydrate sources that you should consume in your meals are brown rice, pasta, oatmeal, potatoes, bagels, breads, and cereals. Before exercising, when the energy needs of your body increase, you can consume foods like honey, oranges, raisins, grapes, mangoes, and apples. High energy carbohydrate drinks also fall in this category.

Proteins, which are commonly known as the building blocks of the muscles, should also be included liberally in the diet. High quality proteins, especially from animal sources, are the best for body building. For vegetarians, getting rich sources of proteins may not be very easy and they may have to consume more of the vegetarian protein sources to get the same kind of nutrition. However, vegetarian diets can give an effective combination of amino acids in order to make a complete and healthy protein meal.

The best bodybuilding fruits that you can consume as snacks are mangoes, grapes, apples, and bananas. These fruits for bodybuilding are high in simple carbohydrates and can give energy that is immediately usable. Some of the best protein sources for bodybuilding are turkey, protein shakes, cottage cheese, egg whites, chicken breast, and yogurt. Fish and fish products are also considered effective bodybuilder food.

There are many high quality essential fatty acids that also help in the regulation of hormones and increase the buildup of muscles. Omega 3 fatty acids that are found in fish oils and flaxseed oil are excellent for healthy body building and therefore, should be included in food.

Your question is a bit confusing. Do you wish to lose weight or gain? If you wish to lose weight by eating fruits you will have to be prepared to develop a determined attitude. You will have to stop eating food that is oily and fried. Spicy food too cannot be eaten. Instead you will have to eat fruits. Since you plan to lose weight it is advisable to leave out some fruits which have a tendency to increase your weight. For this reason you should not eat banana, musk melon and mangoes. All these fruits contain a high percentage of sugar and are sure to increase your weight. However, you can eat other fruits and drink fruit juices too, as long as you have not added extra sugar to the juice.

Rather than eating an entirely fruit based diet, you can consider eating other food items which are healthy and which will not add to your weight but will still provide you with the nutrients required by your body. You can eat whole grains and lentils. Cook these with very little oil and spices. You can also eat legumes, pulses and vegetables of all kinds. Try to avoid eating sweet potatoes and potatoes. You can eat most other vegetables. Green leafy vegetables are especially recommended since they are very good for you. Similarly carrots, radish, beetroot can all be eaten regularly. Think of innovative ways of cooking them so that you don’t use too much oil. This will ensure that the dish is nutritious even as it is healthy.

If you are in the habit of eating out you should cut down on this. Smoking too should be stopped. Your consumption of alcohol will have to be restricted.

However, simply controlling your intake of food cannot help you lose weight around your stomach. For that you need to chalk out an exercise regime and follow it faithfully every single day. You may find it beneficial to seek the advice of a health care professional who can guide you on the best way to lose the fat around your stomach and build your body. You will have to ensure that you sleep early and wake up early sot that you can spend some time exercising.

If you wish to build up your body you will have to consult a dietician who can tell you the diet to follow if you wish you have a muscled look.
