Extreme Weight Loss

Extreme weight loss can be possible with different types of fad diets some of which can be instant. Before going on any extreme weight loss program think logically for a healthy weight loss instead of just focusing on being extremely thin. Extreme weight loss in a short span of time can have different effects on your body, by restricting the food consumption or certain foods you are restricting the consumption of vital nutrients which are required for normal body functions. Thus you body perceives this condition as a starvation stare and starts using its own stored fuel of vitamins and minerals to carry out the normal bodily functions. This changes the metabolic rate in the body which can have a negative effect on the body.

Any crash diet done for extreme weight loss should not be exceeded for more than 3-5 days and most of these diets are not meant to be extended for a long period of time as it would not be logical. Also avoid overexerting yourself when you are on extreme weight loss plan. To suppress a hunger pang drink a glass of cold water or suck a small piece of ice. It would be better to lose weight at a gradual pace and not aim a weight loss of more than 1-2 pounds per week. Try to lose weight in a healthy manner by eating a low calorie diet and performing regular exercise.
