Weight loss recipes can be made using whole meal ingredients and as low fat and sugar as possible. The key to most weight loss recipes is a variety of fresh fruits, vegetables, lean meats, legumes made with the least amount of oils.

  • Fruits blended in skimmed low-fat yogurt and green tea
  • Any citrus fresh fruit juice and peanut butter on a slice of whole meal bread
  • Oatmeal made with skimmed milk sweetened with honey and blended with a handful of dried fruits and nuts, or fresh fruits.
  • An hard-boiled egg and a bowl of diced peaches or a glass of grapefruit juice
Snacks during the day can either be option mentioned or servings of fresh fruits, juices without any additives, whole meal crackers with low fat cheese, and small portion of dried nits such as almonds or raisins.

For meals at lunches or dinners you can opt for -

  • chicken casserole with stir fried broccoli, spinach and cauliflower

Keep fried foods or deep frying to a minimum or nil, at best, as cooking options. opt for more healthier and tastier cooking methods such as stir-frying, microwaving, steaming, broiling or grilling. Healthier cooking options take up little oil and also preserve the nutrient value of the foods.

The health benefits of peaches also inlcude weight loss as they are a good source of water and dietary fibre. Hence the consumption of peach as part of a weight loss diet is beneficial as dietary fibre makes an individual feel full and satiated for a prolonged period of time thereby resulting in them not overeating.
