However, if you are not sure which foods are aggravating your symptoms you can identify them through the process of elimination. Some of the foods that you should avoid when you are suffering from fibromyalgia include high calorie foods like chocolates, fried foods that have high amounts of saturated fats, refined foods like refined sugars and flours, artificial sweeteners, tobacco products, alcohol, caffeine, and sugary foods like candies.

A lot of people who suffer from fibromyalgia may feel that caffeine helps them get energized. However, in the long run, it has been seen that consuming caffeine can become a barrier to getting uninterrupted sleep. Start giving up coffee slowly because it can cause withdrawal symptoms that may be difficult to deal with. Fibromyalgia recipes should ideally contain foods that help fight inflammation and control the synthesis of serotonin, both of which are associated with the symptoms of the disease.
