Home remedies and diet for peeling foot skin in children:

Hi, my 2 year old son is got a problem, his hand and foot skin is peeling and he doesn't want to wear his shoes, what is the cause of that?

Peeling skin is a very common condition found in people of all age groups. It is a temporary condition and you can get rid of it in a couple of days by proper treatment. You don't need to worry about your two year old son. By giving the right diet and the right medicine, the condition will disappear in a few days. It is very important to know that whenever you see the skin of the child being peeled, start the treatment at its earliest to avoid future problems.

I would highly recommend following home remedies for peeling skin.
Since your child is an infant, home remedies will be safe and completely free from side effects. Some of the home remedies for peeling skin are listed below:

1. Apply a mixture of honey and olive oil on the affected area. The concoction is known to rejuvenate the skin and remove dryness.
2. Grated cucumber is believed to be an effective home remedy. Apply grated cucumber on the affected areas for 15 to 20 minutes at least three times in a day. Grated cucumber is also applied in order to get rid of dry skin and to improve the quality of skin.
3. Take two to three fresh mint leaves and turn them into a paste. Apply the paste on the affected area at least four times in a day and notice fresh new skin in a matter of days.

Diet also plays a very important role in order to get rid of peeling skin. You may notice a considerable improvement in the condition by following a healthy diet. Vitamin A deficiency is one of the main causes of peeling skin. Feed your child milk products, carrots and eggs as they are rich in vitamin A. Proteins, iron and other vitamins are also very essential. Fresh green vegetables contain highest nutrients. Green vegetables include spinach, cabbage, cauliflower and many more. Lentils, pulses and cereal also provide high nutrition. Provide healthy meals to your child on a daily basis. Water is known to remove toxins from our body. Make sure that your child drinks plenty of water all throughout the day. Do not feed him any kind of meat products as it may create further problems of the skin and body.

It would be safe to pull out the loose ends of peeling skin. Apply one to two drops of moisturizer on the affected area for exfoliation. Keep your baby's skin clean all throughout the day.
