Actress Eva Mendez has a secret dieting weapon. It is called the Five Factor Diet. It is reported that she reduced her weight by 10 pounds and then five additional pounds using this diet.


The diet provides the dieter with five meals for each 24 hour cycle.  Each meal that is eaten needs to contain five key ingredients. Each meal must include the following:


The follower of this plan needs to commit to an exercise program that is 25 minutes or more in duration five days or more a week.


There is a positive perk to the diet.


It is called a “cheat day.”  It is a day one time during the week that the faithful follower can eat and drink whatever he or she wants. This is a great relief to the dieter and provides a day a week that can be anticipated and desired. The purpose of the cheat day is to greatly increase the effectiveness of the dieter's
mental motivation.


Here’s the routine that you need to faithfully follow:


  • You’ll prepare and eat five, 5-ingredient meals a day
  • Each meal takes 5 minutes to prepare
  • Then do a 25-minute workout
  • Each workout has consisting of five, 5-minute segments
  • You’ll Workout five times a week.

By eating a balanced meal five times a day you will keep your blood sugar low and stable.


This helps your mood and gives you
energy all day long.


All your meals (except on the “cheat day”) should be limited to dishes made with foods from the five must-have groups mentioned above.


The diet does depend on exercise as well as dietary intake. You must do the 25-minute 5-Factor exercise workout five days a week.


Vegetarians and vegans can easily modify the 5-Factor Diet for vegetarian and vegan diets, though the protein sources for vegans are somewhat limited.
