Does eating green apple benefit acne on teenagers skin?

Taking care of one’s skin is a very important, yet very often overlooked aspect of health care and, considering that the skin is the largest organ in the body – covering the entire outer area, it should be looked after – even if simply for the aesthetic embellishment it may serve. Acne is one of the most common conditions to suffer from, especially during the teenage years. A number of factors will serve as the root cause of the problem – from environmental conditions to changing hormonal levels and hereditary. While a person’s diet is never really the root cause of the development of acne, it can contribute significantly to its treatment.

Green apples for teenage acne are one of the more popular and widely used treatment options for people suffering from the condition. Acne treatment with green apple can be performed topically as well as through consumption of the fruit.

For topical treatment, cut the apple into four pieces and rub two of them over the acne affected areas of skin. You will see a noticeable reduction in the prominence of the condition in a few hours. Eating a single green apple a day is known to be very effective in the treatment as well.

Can low glycemic diet help in teenage acne treatment?

Acne is a very common problem, prevalent in thousands of men and women around the US. Though acne can affect just about anyone, regardless of age and gender, it is more commonly seen in teenagers. This could be because of the hormonal changes that most teenagers go through. Moreover, most teens tend to consume a diet high in fat, carbs, sugar and sodium, which could further aggravate the problem. Therefore, several health and skincare experts recommend a low glycemic diet for teenage acne.

This recommendation stems from several studies that have been conducted on eating habits and the appearance of acne. In fact, recently a health magazine recommended a Teen Anti-Acne Diet, which is based on a research about the connection between adolescent skin problems and a diet. This recommended teen diet is nothing more than a low glycemic diet for acne. The study conducted on a group of teen boys and girls showed that a low glycemic diet for teenage acne can reduce this skin problem by almost 50%. However, there is no conclusive medical proof that a diet high in processed carbs can lead to acne or that a diet low in those nutrients can cure it. Nevertheless, a low glycemic diet is quite nutritious and can be followed for overall health improvement.

A low glycemic diet refers to an eating plan in which the consumption of processed food is kept to a minimum. This diet contains a higher amount of natural foods like fresh fruits, vegetables, whole grains, seafood, seeds, nuts and lean meat. If you do decide to follow this diet, you’d have to eliminate certain foods from your daily diet, which include packaged snacks, crackers, bread, chips, cookies, cereals, yogurt, ice cream, sweets, chocolates, and so on.

While a low GI diet for acne is fairly safe, it is best to check with a dietician or a health care provider, before switching over to it. This is all the more important in case of teens who are suffering from any preexisting medical condition.

How gluten free diet benefits teenage acne?

Gluten is a protein that is typically found in barley, oats, rye and wheat. Many a time, people are known to be gluten intolerant and this may result in inflammation of the gut or the abdomen which in turn gives rise to acne. Hence most dermatologists would recommend a gluten free diet for teenage acne as gluten is known to give rise to and also aggravate existing acne. In addition to a gluten free diet for acne in teens, teenagers who are more prone to acne should also minimize the consumption of chocolates and greasy foods that also result in acne.

One of the main benefits of gluten free diet for acne sufferers is that the acne tends to clear up completely on its own without medical treatment. The benefits of gluten free diet for acne sufferers also goes beyond just acne by benefiting ones digestion, energy and cholesterol levels. A gluten free diet for teenage acne is beneficial because gluten is known to result in acne in two ways. Firstly gluten damages the small intestine which in turn increases the toxin body load because of the nutritional deficiencies. Additionally gluten also promotes inflammation which in turn tends to increase the inflammation resistance in the cells and this causes blood sugar problems resulting in acne.

These contain vital vitamins like Vitamin A and C, which improve the condition of the skin drastically, Eat fruits like oranges and apricot or vegetables like carrots and spinach.
