In GM diet can I consume wonder soup for all seven days of the program?

The General Motors diet or GM diet was designed for the employees of General Motors. It is aimed at bringing about 5 to 6 kilograms of weight loss each week. It is also designed to cleanse the system and thus create a change in the attitude and outlook of an individual. The gm diet is a seven day program which may be followed every month or after every two months. There is a specific diet plan that must be followed along with the gm diet wonder soup as this helps to increase weight loss.

Many have found the diet to be effective and have reported weight loss of 2 to 3 kilograms per week. However it is essential to ensure that healthy eating habits are maintained even after the diet. You can always include two or three large servings of the gm diet wonder soup in your weekly diet plan as part of your weight management plan once you have lost weight. If you do not follow healthy eating habits after your weight loss, you will probably experience weight gain once more. The GM diet is not recommended for individuals with diabetes, hypertension, and heart problems.

On day one of the GM diet, any fruit except for bananas may be consumed. Melons, especially watermelons are especially recommended. This helps to prepare the body for the rest of the dietary changes. On day two, one can eat raw or cooked vegetables. There is no limitation on the amount of vegetables that can be eaten. A baked potato with a small amount of butter may also be consumed for breakfast. On day three, a combination of fruits and vegetables may be eaten. On day four, you can have milk and bananas along with a soup. On day five, small amounts of fish or chicken and tomatoes may be consumed. The water intake must be increased at this time so that uric acid is removed from the body. In the General Motors diet vegetarian version, instead of chicken, a cup of rice may be eaten. On day six, unlimited quantities of fish or chicken and vegetables may be consumed. On day seven, vegetables, brown rice and fruits juices may be had. The individual must abstain from consuming alcohol during all seven days and water intake must be at least 10 glasses each day. The gm diet wonder soup is meant to supplement the diet. It may be consumed at any time during the day. There is also no limitation to the quantity in which the gm diet wonder soup may be consumed. In fact, the diet encourages consumption of large amounts of the gm diet wonder soup. The wonder soup is made with tomatoes, onions, green peppers, celery, cabbage, onion soup mix, herbs and flavoring. At the end of the seven day program, the system is supposed to have been cleansed and flushed out of all toxins.

As with most diet plans, there are some advantages and some disadvantages to the GM diet. This diet is known to be effective on a short term basis. The foods that the diet recommends are natural and not processed. However, some people have found the diet to place excessive restrictions on their meals. It is also not considered to be viable in the long run. The diet also eliminates many nutrients which are essential for the body. It is always advisable to consult a doctor before beginning any diet program.

Weight Loss with GM diet 

Yes in general motors diet you can safely consume the wonder soup for all the seven days. The wonder soup is prepared basically from different vegetables like onions, green pepper, cabbage, small tomatoes and celery. All these vegetables are boiled in water and salt, herbs and other seasonings are added as per your choice. Remember not to add any cream, butter or other form of fat in the soup simply because it is very high in calories and would not serve the purpose for which you are on the diet. The general motors wonder soup is to supplement the diet which can become too monotonous at times. You can have this soup in unlimited amounts as and when you please or when you are hungry as it is low in calories but provides other nutrients. Also if you do not like any particular vegetable added in the soup for example onions or cabbage then you can substitute that particular vegetable with any other vegetable as per your choice except for beans and potatoes simply because they have more calories. It is important to drink lot of water throughout the diet program, that is at least 10 glasses of water for each day and strictly avoid alcohol consumption when on general motors diet.
