Drugs to reduce weight are temporary

Is it good to go on drugs in order to loose weight and fat in tummy?

It is never a good idea to go on any kind of drugs to reduce the excess weight or fat stored in your body. Taking drugs will prove to a temporary solution and the chances of side-effects of taking any such drugs will also be high. Once you stop taking the drugs, chances are you will put on even more weight then what you lost. Instead of taking drugs, if you are really serious about losing weight, what you need to do is follow the tried and tested combination of a well-planned diet and exercise.

Start with making changes to your diet. Totally avoid any consumption of fried and fatty foods and foods heavy in sugar.


These would include foods which are deep fried, pastries, ice-creams, and so on. This will make sure that you are not adding any more fat to your body. Start every meal with a moderately big bowl of vegetables instead of starters, this will ensure that your stomach is partially full by the time you start your main course. Make sure all your meals contain adequate amounts of carbohydrates, proteins, vitamins, minerals, and fibers. Eat four to five smaller meals rather than the traditional three solid meals. This will take away the urge to snack between meals. Since, normally women consume at least 1,200 calories per day and men consume around 1,500 calories per day, you will need to mix and match different kinds food so that these many calories are consumed. However, since you want to reduce your weight, you might want to consume lesser calories than these. This kind of a diet will take care of your overall weight loss.

But since you want to target the weight and fat on your tummy, you will have to combine dieting with a strict routine of exercises. Once accumulated, our tummies stubbornly hang on to the fat. It will take a lot of hard work and the double amount of patients to get rid of the fat from that area of our body. To reduce your stomach, you will have to do stomach crunches. There is no way you can avoid doing these. You can make use of the various equipments that help and aid you with this, but they are basically stomach crunches and you will have to do them if you wish to show any results. Couple this with some stretching exercises and walking or swimming and you are well on your way to reducing that excess fat.
