Apply three to four drops of vinegar on the wound at least four times in day. Apply a paste of fresh mint leaves on the wound and wash after 10 to 15 minutes of application. Honey is known to be a natural coolant and a very effective cure for sun burn. Apply a teaspoon of honey on the affected area and you will see a remarkable change in a matter of days. There are many sun burn creams and lotions available at pharmacies without a doctor's prescription.

Apart from the remedies, it is very important to follow a suitable diet in order to cure sun burn. Vitamin E is considered to be very essential in case of a sun burn. Vitamin E is mainly found in green leafy vegetables such as spinach and many more. Vitamin E is also found in almonds, avocados, nuts, olives and many more. Consume these food products on a daily basis in order to get rid of sun burn. Cottonseed oil, soybean oil and sunflower oil are rich components of vitamin E. Include these oils in your meals on a daily basis. There are many vitamin E capsules available in the market. Take a recommended dosage of these capsules for a quick recovery.

Avoid stepping out in the sun till you are completely relieved of the condition. After you are relieved, apply sunscreen lotion before stepping out in the sun. The sunscreen lotion will protect your skin from sun burn to a great extent.
